Thanks Katherine and Jala. I am very fond of Uglow--so I appreciate the comparison. I'm not nearly as patient or fastidious as he was. But I like his simplification of planes and shapes in the figure.
These studio notes are scraps of poetry and ideas that feed my work as a painter. I hope they establish a bit of context for the paintings and my intention in making them.
